International Curry Awards
The International Curry Awards are held to commemorate the rich taste of South Asian cuisine and to reward culinary artisans in the field with due recognition and encouragement. The aim is to commemorate the rich heritage that travelled all the way from the streets of Delhi and Kathmandu to the West and managed to latch on to the hearts of all who encountered it’.
ABOUT US
We are an organization that celebrates multiculturalism and diversity of food; a real melting pot of tastes and shapes in all senses of the expression. To promote and offer a platform to culinary diversity we put together the Leicester Curry Award, after the idea for a culinary festival was conceived by our team in 2016. And we have not looked back since.
Other than the competition for Leicester Curry Award and Toronto Curry Award, we now hold annual International festivals, conduct food journalism online and through our sister company Pukaar magazine, and arrange red carpet events for the field of culinary arts. The main purpose of this is to celebrate and encourage diversity in food to allow people to share the best parts of their culture and tradition with the world.
The two cities where we started our company Leicester and Toronto both offer a plethora of tastes and variety when it comes to curry and now we want to discover more of that taste, wherever it can be found.

How Are Winners Selected?
For the Curry Awards we shortlist up to 30 candidates who are then judged by our esteemed panel of culinary gurus and go head to head in six categories. At the end of the competition we hold a grand awards ceremony in which the winners are announced and prizes awarded.
